Welcome! TinyCOBOL is a COBOL compiler being developed by
members of the free software community.
Our Mission is producing a COBOL compiler based on the
COBOL 85 standards.
TinyCOBOL is avaliable for the Intel architecture(IA32)
and compatible processors on the following platforms:
- FreeBSD.
- Linux.
- MinGW on Windows.
All the above systems use the GCC compiler.
TinyCOBOL is distributed under the following licenses:

Development of TinyCOBOL, by the current maintainer, has come to an end.
Consequently version 0.66 will be the final release.
Anyone who would like to further develop TinyCOBOL, and become the project
maintainer, please post a request to the official mailing list.
All applicants will be considered. Fluency in English would be beneficial,
but it is not a prerequisite.

The web pages were updated by Hudson Reis. Bernard Giroud,
Jim Morcombe, Juan J. Martinez and Scott Ball gave important
contributions about the grammar of the web pages.
The web pages has several modifications in the source code
to pass by the
XHTML and
CSS
validators. Now, our web pages are conformed with the
W3C standards!
